Installation, use and precautions of polypropylene storage tanks

During the transportation and installation of polypropylene storage tanks, strong impact and collision with the equipment body should be avoided. It can be placed flat on the ground first and then erected. The foundation for installing storage tanks requires horizontal flatness and the ability to withstand corresponding pressure. As large vertical storage tanks inevitably protrude into the tank from the bottom to form a spherical crown during molding, it is recommended to lay a 2-6 centimeter fine yarn on the horizontal foundation to form a spherical crown corresponding to the bottom of the tank.

Precautions for using polypropylene storage tanks:

1. Polypropylene storage tanks should be clearly labeled when storing chemicals. There should be good drainage ditches and dilution devices around the site where storage tanks are placed. The installation and use environment of the equipment should be kept away from the earthquake source and avoid contact with open flames.

2. Polypropylene flanges are made of softer material than steel plates. Before use, the sealing performance of the storage tank installation should be checked, and liquid can be added to observe for leaks. Storage tanks for chemical liquids should be tested for leaks with water first to prevent losses.

3. If there are joints or flange connections in the lower part of the polypropylene storage tank, the pipes should be perpendicular to the barrel wall and connected with soft connections to prevent uneven expansion of the barrel wall after being filled with liquid, which may damage the joint connection and cause leakage, and in severe cases, damage the joint and barrel body.

4. When the inlet is higher from the bottom of the tank, it should be bent towards the tank wall to allow the incoming liquid to fall down along the tank wall and reduce the impact on the bottom. The pipelines and accessories connected to the equipment should avoid their weight directly acting on the equipment. When lifting, the connecting pipes, manholes, etc. on the equipment shall not be used as points of force.

The filling and output of polypropylene storage tank equipment must have open ports to prevent damage from external pressure; It is strictly prohibited to use steam for flushing, and normal warm water should be used for flushing; And its connection should use acid resistant gaskets and be sealed, and the gaskets should be replaced in a timely manner. And the installation, use, and maintenance of polypropylene storage tank equipment shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of "Plastic Equipment" HG20640-97. When changing the contained liquid, it is necessary to understand whether the polypropylene storage tank allows the contained liquid. Proper installation ensures smooth operation and effectively extends its service life.
